The NEEDS Center Raises Over $100,000 at Annual Fundraising Gala to Support Individuals with Autism and Developmental Disabilities
Ipswich, MA— April 26, 2025
The NEEDS Center is proud to announce the success of its annual Fundraising Gala, held this past weekend in celebration and support of individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. With the generosity of attendees, sponsors, and community partners, the event raised over $100,000 to help expand and enhance the Center’s vital programs and services.
Guests enjoyed an elegant evening featuring a lively silent auction, inspiring guest speakers, and a cocktail hour generously sponsored by the event’s Premium Sponsor, Edward Kitfield and AMBIT. The event brought together families, professionals, advocates, and supporters united in their commitment to improving the lives of those served by The NEEDS Center.
One of the evening’s highlights was the presentation of two special honors:
- The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Joy Burghardt, in recognition of her decades of tireless advocacy, leadership, and unwavering dedication to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- The Impact Award was awarded to Stephen Keefe, whose innovative contributions and agency engagement have and will continue to make a profound difference in the lives of the people we support and their staff.
Proceeds from the gala will directly benefit The NEEDS Center’s programs, including community-based residential services, vocational training, and clinical support for people with autism and developmental disabilities throughout the region.
